Valentines day

This was by far the best V-day I've ever had. Mike picked me up in the morning (I opened the door to him holding a beautiful purple bouquet and some dark chocolate... my fav color and my favorite candy), we went to Cafe Rio for lunch, and then we went up to Salt Lake City. Mike got us tickets to Body Worlds at The Leonardo! It was so amazing. Right as you walk into the Body Worlds exhibit there are a bunch of babies (they were in jars for 40 years and now they've been on display for maybe 20 years? I'm not 100% sure) from about 12 weeks to full term. 

It was very interesting to see how the human body fits together all under our skin, and some of the displays showed how blood vessels looked without anything else. I had no idea how complex the human body really was until I saw these real ones up close. I got to see healthy bodies and diseased ones. Male and Female. Baby, child, and adult. Almost all of them still had their finger/toe nails. All in all it was one of the coolest things I've ever been to. You might think it's a strange place for valentines day... but it was so stunning. 

The Body Worlds tickets also let us go through the rest of the building. I feel like The Leonardo is more biased towards children, but it was still fun for Mike and I. It has a lot of different activities and areas. My favorite was the drawing area on the main floor. The gift shop was really cool too. 

After The Leo, we walked to the top of the SLC Public Library. You could see a lot of downtown Salt Lake from up there. There were also benches and cute little garden areas up there. If I lived closer I'd spend so much time on that building. The inside was huge. I've never seen such a big library. I felt like I was in heaven, I wanted to cry it was so beautiful. I'm such a nerd but it really was glorious. There was a free book section and I grabbed two. I hope their good reads.

All in all, Mike spoils me and he knows me really really well.

Watching: Grey's Anatomy & The Fosters. I'm all about the drama. Grey's is really great with it's realtionship drama and really cool cases in the hospital. The Fosters is a throw back in someways for me because my parents used to do foster care when I was younger. I've sobbed during some episodes of both shows already. 

Reading: Harry Potter to my kid brother, Bubba (8 years old). We're on the second book and I think he really likes it.

Wearing: Over sized H&M sweaters with skinny jeans. My sweaters are cream & navy blue, I got both of them half off on my birthday weekend.

Planning a trip to Moab in a month with Mike. Well I'm not planning the trip but I am planning on going. I've been planning out a packing list though.

Listening to Hozier, Taylor Swift, and Avril Lavigne. 

Spending way too much time inside the house and way too much time babysitting. 

Trying to go to sleep before midnight every night... this hasn't happened in months.
